Voisins Butchers was set up in 1971 by Dennis Voisin – hence the name (Voisins not Dennis!)
The shop premises is located in Hyde Park, Peverell. Mark Humphries has owned the shop for the last 18 years and currently runs the business along with his son, also called Mark, and Tony.
We like to think of ourselves as traditional local butchers, though Mark and Tony don’t usually wear straw hats!
Our mission is to supply you, our lovely customer, with the best, freshest and tastiest meat you can buy.
We take great pride in our produce and are confident you’ll be impressed with it too. Oh yes, and it’s not just meat we sell. We have a wide range of other, carefully selected, products to accompany our delicious meat.
Being in the the South West of England, we just have to make pasties; it’s what people expect. So it’ll be no great surprise to learn that we make fresh pasties on the premises every day using our very tasty beef. Pop in and grab one (or two) or call us to reserve one. We can deliver our products to your home but you’ll need to spend £25 or more and live within 3 miles of the shop.
We also supply meat to the trade, for example, we provide our delicious sausages to Karen and Lee who run Sage Cafe just a few doors up from us in Hyde Park Road. So if you’re running a restaurant and are looking for a good supplier of top quality meat, get in touch.
As you would expect, we have a number of certifications for the quality of our meat, especially our beef and lamb, but we don’t want to bang on about this.
